30 Fish in 30 Days
In April 2020, I decided to challenge myself with this piece during the COVID lockdown. Each day I burned one fish, almost all chosen by my wonderful social media followers.
In total, it was 66 hours of sketching and wood burning...but here's a MUCH shorter video of the whole process!
Knock on Wood
All original pieces are created using the art of Pyrography - translated literally to "writing with fire". The artist draws her inspiration from her own experiences on the water as well as tales from her customers and friends. Once complete, she then uses the artwork to design apparel, accessories and décor - creating a unique look that stands out from the rest. Mokie Burns isn't just someone buying clip art, slapping it on some crap and shoving it in your face to make a quick buck - every single product has a story to tell.
